‘Merrow’ - the Celtic mermaid | 2023

This sculpture reimagines the merrow—a mermaid of Celtic folklore—as she sheds her tail and emerges from the sea, mid-transformation. Her freckled skin, wet hair, and distant gaze capture a moment of quiet metamorphosis. Neither fully sea creature nor fully woman, she floats in the liminal, vulnerable and powerful at once.
